The IOV Ghana section is a National Chapter of the International Organisation of Folk Art is a non - governmental , non - profit organisation, which was founded in Austria , in 1979, to preserve Folk cultural heritage in all its forms.
The IOV - Ghana National section was incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Ghana in May, 2023 by the currently elected IOV - Ghana National Chaper President Mr. Stephen Kwame Awuku, to help IOV World accomplish its mission of establishment.
Vision
To protect , preserve and promote all forms of Folk Art culture as elements of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), to foster understanding and appreciation of Cultural diversity among all peoples, and thereby enhances the prospects for world peace.
